Hey! I’m Asha. I’m 18, and I’m from Estonia — but honestly, I’m still figuring out what that means for me. I live in a small-ish town near Tartu, where everyone knows everyone, which is both cozy and kind of annoying. I just finished high school (finally!), and right now I’m in that weird in-between phase where I’m supposed to know what I want to do with my whole life, but mostly I just want to sleep in and drink iced coffee. I’m taking a gap year — not because I’m lazy, but because I need to breathe and figure out if I actually want to study graphic design or maybe something with languages. I speak Estonian, English, and a bit of Russian, and I’m learning Spanish on Duolingo (streak: 47 days, not to brag). I love rainy days, but Estonia gives me plenty of those anyway.

music. i basically always have my headphones on. indie pop, lo-fi beats, and sometimes weird estonian folk — don’t judge me. drawing. i sketch in my notebook all the time — mostly faces, hands, and little surreal things. it’s my way of shutting the world up for a bit. cold weather aesthetics. cozy sweaters, hot tea, dark evenings with fairy lights. estonia is perfect for that.

What JoleenMcmullins avoids

small talk. “so, what are your plans after school?” — please, i’m begging you, stop. crowded places. big malls, loud parties, too many people talking at once. i get drained so fast. when people assume i’m shy. i’m not shy, i’m just observing. there’s a difference. waking up before 9 am. unless there’s coffee and a really good reason.
